Weird issue with extra spaces

I have my CapsLock key set to Activate Fn5.

On Fn5, I have my numbers keys.

If I type too fast, I get this weird behavior that inserts multiple spaces. For example, if I want to type d3, i will sometimes get d 3 with 6 spaces. The number of spaces is kinda random, but anywhere from 3 to 6 spaces.

I’ve tried testing with different key configurations, but to debug, I just have the button set to Activate Fn5 and the 3 key on that layer, and it still has this behavior.

Edit: I don’t have this issue with my UHK v2 on macos. Only on my UHK v1 on Windows 11 (see what I did there? It happened again)

What’s your Keystroke delay? I recommend setting it to a small number, e.g. 5 ms or 10 ms.

It was at 0ms, but I’ve just now tested with 5ms and 10ms and seem to still get the same issue.

Do you have any other macros that type space?

No, none of the keys I’m pressing have any macros that have a space… which is what I originally thought might have been the issue. Guess I just need to wait a split second when typing numbers or find another solution.

If it works on your UHKv2, have you tried loading that configuration into your UHKv1? Just to make sure it’s not an inadvertent hick-up in the UHKv1 config.

Ah, ok, yeah that’s an easy way to debug! will try and test with my results
