UHK80 - How to connect Left side wirelessly?

Just got a UHK80 with batteries and wireless dongle.
In UHK80 manual under Connectivity it says:
USB : Connect the right half via USB and connect the halves via the spiral cable. If your UHK has batteries, the spiral cable is unnecessary as the halves will communicate wirelessly,

However this does not seem to be working for me.

If I disconnect the bridge cable, the left side stops operating regardless of which mode ( usb-c or wireless ) I am connected with.

What am I missing? As a side note, It would be nice if the UHK agent gave some diagnostics or at least status of each side.

What firmware/Agent versions are you using?

It should auto-switch to wireless mode when disconnecting the bridge cable. Do you see a wireless icon, or a circle with an “X”?:

Try rebooting the UHK80 with either the reboot macro, or by pressing the recessed “reset” buttons on the back of each half of the keyboard.

If that doesn’t fix it, then open Agent to the “About” tab at the bottom of the left pane, and click seven times on the Agent icon (grey square with sunglasses in the main window).

Then scroll back up to the “Device” section in the left pane, and look for a new “Advanced settings” tab. Then click the “Re-pair keyboard halves” button in the main window.

EDIT:
If none of that works, check if your left half’s battery needs charged, or maybe check to see if the battery’s cable needs to be reseated to the board (inside the palm rest).

Thank you!
Issuing the reboot command fixed it.
