UHK 80 Plastic Feet issues

Got my uhk 80 today, and it’s been a process. Partly just learning the new layout and some of the minor changes, but a few more glaring things, like led noise and left half needing to have the connecting cable, both of which i’ve made issues for on the github.

The one that im not sure is a product defect with my particular unit is the tenting feet, when fully extended, on the right side is hitting the plastic edge causing the right to lose traction. I’m planning on getting the tenting kit eventually so hopefully this doesn’t ultimately matter, but curious if other users are having this issue. Included is a pic of how the edge just touches the surface, causing the right side to slide around.

Please remove the original template text when opening new issues, either here on the forum or on GitHub.

Please take a photo on which your tenting leg configuration is visible, like on https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com/manuals/uhk60pr2/tenting

Doesn’t really matter, ordered the riser80 anyways :person_shrugging:

I’ll get back to you on this, nevertheless. Just waiting for my colleague.

Yes, I see this too. I use a deskmat, and I also use the legs folded so I did not realize this.
But if the legs are opened the right half actually stands on the edge of the keyboard instead of the rubber feat, which is not optimal as it will scratch the case with the time and it will also impact stability. With a deskmat it is not recognizable, but on a flat surface this could be an issue.
As the right half is wider the rubber feet should probably be closer to the edge, but then you have the issue that the tenting is kind of asymmetrical due to this. Which it is anyways somehow as the right half is wider.
This is not an issue for me at the time being, just can confirm that this really is the case.

Just got my UHK80 and I see what you mean. The little plastic nub underneath is further in from the edge and when tented with the feet does not make contact with the desk. I am sure that the lads will come up with something for this.

We need more time to investigate the root cause of this edge-related issue. I’ll follow up.
