UHK 80 - Connectivity issues or need to charge?

Hi team, I’ve been enjoying UHK 80 for a couple of weeks and it’s been great except for some issue I face with wireless connectivity.

I use it in wireless mode (using USB dongle) and from time to time my keyboard starts disconnecting after about 5-10 minutes of use. The issue is fixed when I disconnect-reconnect the dongle. This can then happen a few times until I switch to wired mode for more stable connection.

When is the time to charge the keyboard? I am not sure if this is battery charge being low or a separate connectivity issue.

What firmware version are you on, and is the dongle on the same version as the UHK80? If the dongle shows a differing FW version, then connect it to the same PC as the UHK80, and flash the most recent version.

When the dongle disconnects, what color is its LED?

Have you tried using the reboot macro command to see if the dongle reconnects after the UHK80 restarts? Hopefully that will work as a temporary workaround, so you don’t have to physically reconnect the dongle every time.

Just checked my dongle was on 14.0.0 but the keyboard was 14.0.1
I now flashed the latest 14.1.0 to both the dongle and the keyboard. Hope this helps to resolve the issue.

If I remember correctly the dongle became purple when the disconnect issue happens.

I haven’t tried to use reboot macro. Thanks for a quick reply!

Having the dongle on the same FW should resolve it. The dongle is usually pretty stable vs BLE.

The reboot macro comes in handy for sure. I keep it bound on the Fn2 layer on all my keymaps, just in case. :wink:

So what are the battery percentages when this happens? (The two numbers in the top right corner.)

@kareltucek Something around 40% left, 60% right
