Hi guys, wanting to grab the UHK relatively soon.
I currently have a keychron, and I grabbed their new “K Pro Banana” switches - and I really like them.
How can I tell which UHK switches are closest?

The regular Kailh Browns are probably the closest. They’re non-clicky, yet tactile. They’re a little lighter than the Bananas, and the travel is a tad different, but they’re the closest overall.
Of course, the UHK (V2) has hot-swap sockets, so you can replace them with any other MX compatible switch if you end up not liking the ones you ordered. You can get switches from anywhere, you’re not limited to the options shown on the UHK Shop.
The UHK Shop also has a Switch Tester if you want to sample the available options first.
By far my favorite tactiles are the Kailh Ocean Whale Silent Tactile. When you want linear, there is also a linear version available. Cherry or Kailh Brown feel worse IMO and of course are louder as well.
Well I have to agree that the browns do feel terrible, but as far as what’s available from the UHK Shop, they’re overall the closest to the Bananas It seems most people hate the browns.
I actually use Kailh Box Navy switches I need something super tactile because I have diminished sensation in my hands, but I’m also heavy handed. It slows me down a bit, but it helps prevent accidental keypresses. It took me forever to find the right switch, but I think the navies are the best for me so far. There’s sooo many options out there, but very few heavies.
I am using the Cherry Clear MX switches … very tactile and much better than the brown I got with my UHK 2. And they feel more like the Cherry switches I got with my UHK 1.
I’ve been a long time Cherry blue (clicky) user. Also have one keyboard with Holy Panda (tactile) switches. Recently tried the Kailh box white (clicky) and really like them. If you also like clicky switches, I think you should give them a try. They are crispy clicky and slightly lighter than the Cherry blue – a very comfortable and clear feel and sound. The box stem design also keeps the keycaps more stable (less wobble). Great clicky switch!
I’ve tried the box whites recently. I agree they’re a pretty well rounded option. They’re not heavy enough for me, but I think most people would probably like em.
