Macbook M1 ISO pipe key

Any input on how to make the “ISO pipe key” (key to the right of the left shift key on a ISO version) to work properly on a Macbook M1?

I’ve been using my UHKv2 on Linux without problem but on my mac the key just generates an escape key press when pressed normally and the expected greater than key press when using shift.
In karabiner event viewer the key is called “non_us_backslash” when I shift-press it (and “escape” when pressing it without).

I recently helped a friend configure his UHK for use with a Mac, and I remember we had to reconfigure the scancode for that ISO key. I think we set it to “International 1”.

Thank you @maexxx, that did the trick!
And with a bit of remapping in Karbiner I got the key to do what I wanted!
