Key cluster scroll locks up

Randomly, the scroll wheel on the three key cluster and the Mod+trackball scroll lock up. They scroll /infinitely/ more slowly. A power cycle fixes it.

Any idea what’s going on here?

Is it specific to the mini trackball?

This is on the three key cluster with the mini trackball and the full sized trackball, when the trackball used with the mod key. This happens on Windows 10, Windows 11 and SteamOS.

And mouse (layer) keys too I assume.

If so, then it is almost surely the high resolution scrolling bug.

The best workaround for now is to bind a reboot (macro command) macro somewhere where it is easy to reach.
