I received my left half key cluster module today, but after connecting it to my UHK 60 v1, it doesn’t seem to do anything. Agent is showing the touchpad connected to the right half in the keymap section, but not the cluster.
I’ve also tried to see if it would show up when disconnecting the touchpad, but it doesn’t.
Is there something I’m missing here, or is something broken and how can I test it?
What firmware are you on?
Are the module’s leds lit up?
Have you tried Fastening module steel guide screws - Ultimate Hacking Keyboard ?
(It should work out of box, so something is broken.)
Both halves report firmware 13.0.0. LEDs are not lit up, but just yet when I reconnected the module, they flashed briefly, but I can’t reproduce that.

Fastening the screws didn’t make any difference. The four screws on the keyboard could hardly be tightened any way.
There is a small magnet missing from the left keyboard half, just below the B key. It came loose over the years and fell off a lot and after some time I must have lost it. Could this be related?
It seems that the part that fell out is magnet counterpart holding the left module in place. Though I don’t personally have a UHK 60 to confirm, it seems like the module wouldn’t be held as securely without it (relying on attraction to other metal parts), and that contact could be poor without it.
They do sell a kit of replacement magnets+magnet counterparts for the UHK 60 in the store: https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com/product/magnet-parts. That page also shows the positions of the “strong” and “weak” magnets, as well as the magnet counterparts.
I don’t think that’s it because even if I push it tightly againt the keyboard half, it still doesn’t register, so I’m afraid I’ll have to send it back.
