Faster pointer movement for mouse keys

Hi folks - I’m hoping to get the mouse keys pointer moving faster. I’ve got the sliders maxed out for base speed, acceleration. and accelerated speed (max value is 6375 px/s), but the pointer is still too slow for me even with the accelerator key held down. It takes about three seconds for the pointer to move laterally from one side of the display to the other. The display is 2560 x 1440. I’m on macOS (Sonoma). Using UHK Agent 5.0.2.

Wondering if there is something outside of UHK Agent I can tweak, or if it might make sense to fork UHK Agent and make some value tweaks there?

Thank you for reading and happy new year!

You can try to set higher speeds via macros - they are limited by hardware type width instead of artificial range.

I’ve never heard of such an issue, probably because speed settings have been judiciously selected, so the provided range should always be adequate.

I’m suspicious of the recently merged high-resolution scrolling pull request that can affect the mouse speed.

@tommyv Have you experienced this issue with earlier firmware versions, too? Which UHK model do you have? Please take a screenshot of your OS mouse sensitivity settings.

Hi thanks for the response. I hadn’t thought to check my OS sensitivity settings. They were set to the lowest settings. Not sure why. I’m a goober.

I’ve adjusted the sensitivity to a sane level and now everything is working great. Thank you very much for the help.
