I have had one of the UHKv2s from when they had the dodgy cases and the red LEDs.
I do like it but I have to admit I am considering replacing then with something else. Why? The constant buzzing from the left side of the keyboard. Turning the LEDs down doesn’t work, depending on what is on or off it just changes the tone of the buzz. It is really really doing my head in now.
So my question is this, do the new LED units have this issue?
The white display does it too. As far as I can tell, it does go away when lowering the brightness on mine. BUT I’m also hard of hearing, so I can’t tell for sure if it changes pitch or not. If it does change pitch instead of volume, then it’s going outside my perceived hearing range. To be clear, I only hear one constant pitch that stops abruptly after lowering the brightness.
I don’t have access to one of the V2’s with a red display, so IDK if they’re any different.
I didn’t realise that there were v2s with red display. I thought v1 had red displays, and v2 always came with white…
I have v1 with red and v2 with white, and maybe I am lucky but I don’t hear any annoying sound. Maybe just a little, but I’ve turned down the brightness on the white v2 to bring it’s perceived brightness to the frame level as the red v1. I have protonomaly, so my red receptors don’t work so well. Red colors always look pretty dark to me.
