Bluetooth pairing with macbook pro

Hi everyone,
today I received my uhk-80 and it looks amazing!

Unfortunately I´m not able to connect it via bluetooth to my macboom pro from 2021. As the documentation about the makes describes it should support BLE.
It is just not showing up in the bluetooth overview. I´m not sure how poroceed?

Thanks in advance.

Intel or Apple Silicon?

I cannot speak to the Intel silicon but I have it working on my 2023 M3 Max.

I have a macro that puts the keyboard into pairing mode “bluetooth pair”

And when I run that I will see the UHK80 in the pairing menu on the mac.

In all honestly the pairing can be a touch non-deterministic at times, but after a few goes it will show up.

Will show up in nearby devices and you can kick off the pairing process then. You will be prompted with a nunber to enter on the UHK80 and that will pair them.

I would recommend pairing when wired to the host so you can then open agent and add the connection in agent so you can name the host and use the switchHost macro to switch more easily between HIDs.

Thanks for your reply.

I´m also on a apple silicon. How an I create a macro to set the keyboard into pairing mode ? In the agent I cant find anything special out of the box. Is there a specific command ?

I just created a new macro like this, but it wont work:

Take the word toggle out — just “bluetooth pair”

Have you other blue tooth devices paired and presently working?

It still says it is executed 0 times.
I have connected my headset and mouse via bluetooth as well. Both working seemless.

The bluetooth pair macro only makes UHK refuse already-known connections, thus helping to pair new devices in an environment where multiple bluetooth device fight for UHK.

You should see your UHK in ble scanning out of the box without any macros. In theory that is.

There are some bugs on 13.0.0 and 13.0.1 regarding advertising though. They should be fixed on [Dev build] Testing request: Bluetooth ble-hid-to-ble-hid switchovers - #8 by Tunney, but it contains some other new problems :face_with_bags_under_eyes: .

Admittedly, the bluetooth pair or bluetooth advertise macros may kickstart advertising when some of the bugs makes advertising die.

And it works.
I just setup the macro wrong and after that it works just fine.
