Actual cursor-moving arrow keys?

Probably a stupid question but: been trying to program keys to move the cursor left and right through text and I keep ending up with backspace/delete keys or similar. Feeling unhinged here, what am I missing? I do a ton of detailed line by line text editing and didn’t realize how much I depended on up/down and left/right. Thanks! Been a great addition otherwise.

Unless I’m mistaken, wouldn’t mapping Left Arrow, Right Arrow, Up Arrow and Down Arrow be what you need?

You can see below that I have CTRL + Arrow for moving whole words

Edit: It’s the direction followed by the word arrow, not the other way around

Here’s what it looks like in the mapping dialog

Hmm, thank you for this! I appreciate it.

For some reason, It registers as named “right arrow” or “left arrow” but it doesn’t act as an arrow key. It acts as backspace or return. It’s very odd. And i tried capturing keystroke with mod+right arrow keys even, but it just doesn’t seem to assign. Curious!

You can share your config and/ or make a screenhot of it. I see no reason why the arrow keys should not work – on a mod layer or in the base layer. I use both btw.
