A telephone cable that work with UHK v1 cannot be used with UHK v2

I have a question about a telephone cable for UHK v2. Has the cable spec changed from UHK v1?

I have UHK v1 and v2. I wanted to change the cable connecting keyboards to increase the distance, so I bought an RJ9 4P4C cable. It worked fine for UHK v1 but not for UHK v2. I could not find a document that shows changing a cable’s specification between v1 and v2.

The spec hasn’t changed, but the UHK 60 v2 may be more picky regarding longer cables. The shorter and probably thicker, the better.

Thank you for your advice. I used a very long cable. Its cable is 60 cm long when curled. When extended, it would be 3-5 m long. I’m going to try to find a shorter cable.

Alternatively, you can buy a crimping tool and some 4P4C jacks. It’s easy and cheap.

It’s a good idea! But I found and bought a new short cable in an online shop before I read your post. I’ll test it, and then I will report here the following Monday. If it doesn’t work, I’ll create it myself by following your advice.

A short cable is working well. The problem is solved! Thank you.

Where did you order it from please?
Would love a longer cable but not doing the crimping and all that.

Here is the shop that I bought the cable at. I hope it will help you.
